Lori Edgemon

My name is Lori Edgemon. What a blessing it is to be the principal of Lindsay Lane Christian Academy! It still amazes me to see how God put my life journey together to bring me here. As a 3rd grader, I believe God placed a desire to teach in my heart. I received a B.S. degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Athens State and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama. I taught for 15 years in the elementary classroom. Because I loved being in the classroom with my students, I was surprised when God opened the door for me to attend an Aspiring Administrators Academy. Through this academy, I felt Him leading me to pursue a certification in Administration/Instructional Leadership. I received this certification from the University of North Alabama in 2008. I received a peace that God only can give in November of 2008 that God wanted me to apply for this position at LLCA. What an amazing journey it has been, and I am thankful that He chose me to be a part of His school!  My favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” I am so thankful that He does!

Karen Crouch

Hello, my name is Karen Dilworth Crouch.  Born and raised in Limestone County, I attended East Limestone High School and graduated in 1990.  In 1994, I graduated from Athens State College with a BS degree in Social Science.  I married my high school sweetheart, Todd Crouch, in 1991, and we have two wonderful children.  Gracie is 15 and Corey is 8.  I am so blessed!  We are members of Sardis Springs Baptist Church, where I am a lifelong member.  You might find it interesting to know that I have known Mrs. Edgemon since we were in the first grade at East Limestone.  We still laugh at our first "sleep over" in 1st grade when we watched "The Wizard of Oz".  After 12 years of school, we began our college career together at The University of Alabama.  Many years later, our families still share many Saturdays in the Fall "rolling with the Tide"!  I am so excited to be a part of what God is doing at Lindsay Lane Christian Academy!  I truly see my job as a service to Him and love seeing the miracles that He performs everyday at LLCA.  The opportunity to work in such a wonderful environment is a true blessing, and I am so thankful for this exciting opportunity.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

Michelle Braly
K3-5th Grade Administrative Assistant (Cub Campus)

My name is Michelle Braly, and I love my job here at LLCA!  Although I'm not a teacher, I come from a long line of teachers.  My grandmother and grandfather were both teachers.  My mother is a retired school teacher, and I'm married to a teacher!

I was raised in the great state of Alabama and graduated with a BS degree in Commercial Art from the University of North Alabama.  I am married to Jason Braly of 18 years, and we have two awesome children, Judson and Josie.  After staying home for twelve years to raise my babies, I started praying that God would bless me with a job where I would be in a Christian environment and use my creative abilities.  He did just that!

Being in the front office, no day is ever the same!  I'm very surprised that I have learned every child's name at the cub campus.  They are truly like my own children during school hours, and I can definitely see God's handiwork in the mind, body, and soul of each child.  Each day I am reminded of Psalm 139:14, "I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, and I know that full well".

My family and I attend Isom's Chapel United Methodist Church, where my husband and I serve as youth leaders.

Angie Gooch

Hi!  My name is Angie Gooch, and I am principal of LLCA's middle and high school.  What a wonderful opportunity to minister to you and your children who are precious gifts from God.  I am the wife of 23 years to Eddie Gooch, pastor of Isom's chapel UMC.  We have two wonderful children:  Joshua, a freshman at the University of South Alabama, and Rachel, a senior at Lindsay Lane Christian Academy.  I am a graduate of Auburn University and have enjoyed teaching middle and high school mathematics for 13 years.  I also have enjoyed the privilege serving as a principal at Faith Christian Academy for the past 9 years.

What an exciting time to serve as principal of LLCA's middle and high school!  It has been a blessing watching God bring two wonderful ministries together in order to form a strong, vibrant place of learning for our children.  Our theme at LLCA is "Champions for Christ"; together we seek to train our children to know God and to make Him known.  One of my favorite verses is Ephesians 6:19.  Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I willl fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.

6th-12th Grade Assistant Principal and Director of Athletics
Matt Stockman
256.233.3778
Matt was born in Trowbridge, England and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He attended Catholic school and churches growing up but never had a relationship with Christ. Matt went through the motions spiritually until much later in life. He received a baseball scholarship to attend Central Alabama Community College in 1994. From there Matt received another baseball scholarship and an academic scholarship to move on to the University of Montevallo. Matt graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1999 and then later did his Master's degree also in Elementary Education at the University of Montevallo. Matt was team MVP his senior year as the starting catcher. From here Matt's baseball career really took off. In 1998 and 1999 he got to play for Team Canada in the World Championships in Italy, then he played again for Team Canada this time in the Pan Am Games. In 2001, Matt tried out for Great Britain's national squad and he made this as well. He played in 3 European Championships in '01 in Germany, '03 in Holland and '05 in Czech Republic. Matt served as the Team Chaplain as well as the starting catcher!! This was his first opportunity to play ball as a Christian.

Matt was saved in 1999 at the age of 24 while attending The University of Montevallo. After 5 years of living in the SOUTH Matt realized he had to Let go and Let God! He had simply kept saying, “I’m not ready to be saved yet”. He thought he had to change all his sinful desires before he could become a Christian. He didn’t realize it’s all about Faith in Christ changing a person from the inside out!

A few short months later Matt married his dream girl Nicole. They moved to Piney Chapel, AL in 2001 and began teaching and coaching at Elkmont High School later that year. In 2004 Tucker, their first child, was born. Within the next school year The Lord began calling Matt into ministry and he surrendered in 2006. In the meantime, Matt started to serve with the youth ministry at Lindsay Lane, eventually becoming the Jr High Youth Pastor (serving until 2009).

God gave Matt a vision for Baseball For Christ at this time (2006). Matt taught baseball lessons and taught about Christ as well each day of the week. Matt's main goal is to teach young and old alike to glorify God with all they have!! He loves using sports obviously because this is near and dear to his heart. In 2007, God blessed Matt and Nicole with their second child, Denbree! In 2009, Matt began teaching P.E. at LLCA for the elementary and middle school grades. This year is Matt’s first year teaching P.E. to the high school students at the Den Campus. Matt is also the first year Athletic Director, Assistant Principal and Head Baseball Coach at Lindsay Lane Christian Academy. There again Matt is living his dream teaching youth how to Glorify God in all they do!
