Is a spider an insect?  Definitely NOT - it is an arachnid!  I am Kathryn DeWitt and teach Science for grades 9-12.  I have an EE degree from Duke University and a MSEE degree from California Technology Institute.  My wonderful husband and I have been married for 31 years.  We spent 23 years in Indianapolis, IN raising our 5 children. When our youngest child was peschool age, I began to work part-time in our children's private Christian school.  When our youngest started school, I worked full time at this Christian school.  I have worked as a Culinary Assistant (cafeteria worker) and as the Director of Transportation.  God works in mysterious ways, moving us to Alabama in 2005, to allow me to be closer to my mother.  In 2007, God motivated us to send our youngest child to Faith Christian Academy.  Throughout whatever God leads me to do I lean on James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, he sould ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."  I began teaching Biology and Physical Science in 2007.  Once again, God moves in mysterious was, and I am now teaching Science for Grades 9-12.  One of my favorite Bible passages is Psalm 139:13-14, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfuly and wonderfully made; your words are wonderful, I know that full well."
